Sara Sanwal
Sara is a socially driven designer blending jugaad (frugal) innovation, behavioral insights, and systems thinking to tackle India’s pressing challenges. Her financial literacy project empowering housewives, funded by Stanford University in 2024, and her recognition as a Philips Service Design runner-up for improving road accident bystander response, reflect her ability to merge grassroots empathy with academic rigor. Trained in interaction design at Delhi Technological University, her internships (Innovaccer, Ola Mobility, Tech Mahindra) and research at IIT Delhi on play-based curricula showcase her cross-sector versatility. A UN Millennium Fellow and WWF-India conservation advocate, she balances strategic design with nature immersion, photography, and community engagement. At SDSI, she aims to amplify her impact through business acumen and ecosystem-scale solutions, driven by a vision of equitable, inclusive futures.
