With a unique background In Musical Theatre and a love for people centered experience, Karla has decided to take a leap and dive into a brand new and exciting field. Karla Maiden-Vazquez is a multidisciplinary creative and service strategist with a background in performing arts, cosmetology, customer experience, and marketing. Karla holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from The University of Tampa and a professional cosmetology license from The Temple Annapolis: A Paul Mitchell Partner School, where Karla earned multiple national scholarships in recognition of leadership, resilience, and academic excellence.
Raised in a single-parent, minority household, Karla’s journey has been fueled by perseverance, creativity, and a deep belief in the transformative power of access and education. Karla's lived experiences and broad-mindedness drive Karla's passion for designing inclusive, human-centered systems that challenge traditional norms and empower underserved communities. From leading high-impact customer service initiatives to driving digital outreach and strategy, Karla combines empathy with innovation in every space Karla enters.
Now pursuing a Master's in Service Design Strategies and Innovation, Karla is committed to shaping the future of this emerging field. Karla aims to influence how service design is applied across industries—building dynamic, equitable, and tech-forward solutions that respond to real-world needs.
