Honami Nakamoto

She graduated with a degree in sociology, with a particular focus on social welfare. She had explored how societal systems support vulnerable populations and how inclusivity can be strengthened across communities.
During her studies, she interned at an inclusive design company. This experience gave her the opportunity to engage with real-world projects and broaden her understanding of accessibility and inclusive practices.
Through both academic study and practical experience, she came to understand that while sociology provides a critical lens to analyze societal issues, it often lacks the means for direct intervention. In contrast, she recognized that many impactful changes in society have been driven by thoughtful, human-centered design. This realization led her to develop a strong interest in service design as a practical and creative tool to foster inclusion.
