SDSI 23–25: Graduation ceremony, a day to remember
On 21 June 2025, the first cohort of the Erasmus Mundus Master’s in Service Design Strategies and Innovations (SDSI) returned to Kuldīga, Latvia, to celebrate their graduation, exactly where their journey began two years earlier. Set outdoors beside Ventas Rumba, Europe’s widest waterfall, the ceremony reflected the spirit of SDSI: community-driven, international and rooted in shared experience rather than formality.
Bringing together graduates, staff, teachers, Year 1 students and local partners, the celebration marked not only the completion of a programme spanning Latvia, Estonia and Finland, but also the foundations of a growing alumni community. From student-led rituals to music, speeches and moments of reflection, the day captured what makes SDSI unique: learning through movement, collaboration and care.
